1. Principle
Caralto is a digital organisation platform for families, caring relatives and authorised persons.
Caralto supports the structured recording, storage and sharing of information, but does not replace professional advice or treatment.
2. No medical advice
Caralto does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment recommendations or treatment.
Information, checklists, reminders, documentation, emergency profiles or export functions serve solely for organisation and overview.
For medical questions, symptoms, emergencies or uncertainties, always contact doctors, nursing professionals, therapists or emergency services.
3. Not an emergency call system
Caralto is not an emergency call system, not a home emergency call service and not a substitute for emergency services.
In acute emergencies, dial the relevant emergency number immediately.
In an emergency, always dial the locally valid emergency number. In the European Union and on mobile phones, in much of the world the 112; in North America 911; in the United Kingdom and many Commonwealth countries 999; in Australia 000.

Users are themselves responsible for ensuring that the information entered is correct, complete and up to date.
This applies in particular to:

- Emergency contacts
- Powers of attorney
- Locations
- Documents
- Shares
5. Medication note
Medication schedules in Caralto serve for documentation and overview.
Caralto does not replace a medical or pharmaceutical review.
Changes to medication, dosages or intake times may only be made after consulting qualified professionals.
6. Care and support information
Care and support information in Caralto serves to organise everyday life and for documentation.
Caralto does not make any decisions about care levels, benefit entitlements, insurance claims, diagnoses or treatment needs.
7. No legal advice
Caralto does not provide legal advice.
Notes on powers of attorney, advance directives, care benefits, objections, forms or deadlines serve only as general orientation.
For binding information, contact lawyers, authorities, insurers, care insurance funds or other competent bodies.
8. Country-specific differences
Caralto can be used worldwide.
Laws, terms, entitlements, forms, deadlines and responsibilities differ depending on country, federal state, canton, state or province.
Country modules and notes are therefore always to be understood only as orientation.
9. Shares and QR/NFC emergency profiles
Users decide for themselves which information they make visible via shares, QR codes, NFC tags or emergency profiles.
Before each share, carefully check which data is shown and whether the share is necessary and appropriate.
10. Technical availability
Caralto strives for stable and secure operation.
However, availability of the app, website, database, emergency profiles or sharing functions at all times cannot be guaranteed.
Maintenance, internet problems, device problems, third-party outages or force majeure may restrict use.
11. Third-party providers
Caralto may use technical service providers such as Supabase and Stripe.
Outages, security requirements or changes at third-party providers may affect individual functions.
